When Lindsay reached out to us in May about coordinating her wedding, we were beyond excited for two big reasons. First, it's the Science Center, of course! If you love dinosaurs and science, there aren't too many better places in the world for your best day ever, and we were so ready to be back there after many years. And second, we looooove themed decor at weddings, and these two lovebirds had one of the cutest themes we've ever seen... Animal Crossing! Lindsay and John are big time gamers who love the entire AC series, so they knew exactly what they wanted their wedding to look like. We loved it, and we know you will too!
Lindsay and John got the party started with their ceremony in the Our Planet exhibit, saying their vows in front of the full moon! And of course, what first kiss would be complete without sparks?!
After the ceremony, the newly wedded couple had an adorable surprise for their guests, one that the new Mr. & Mrs. enjoyed just as much. The animal handlers at the Science Center brought out two of their cutest charges, a chinchilla in its ball habitat and an adorable skunk!
Lindsay and John had Animal Crossing-inspired decor throughout their wedding, from the sign that all their guests saw as they walked into the reception space, to the centerpieces, the escort cards, and so much more!
The rest of the festivities kicked off with the reception in the Dino Digs area of the Science Center, with giant prehistoric creatures overlooking the proceedings from all angles. The bride's father serenaded the newly married couple with an original song he had written when he was just fifteen years old! Later, the musical stylings of DJ MJ from Junction 88 kep the crowd dancing and Lindsay joined in as well!
The night flew by and soon enough it was time for the bride and groom to make their escape into the beginning of their new lives together. Their friends and family gathered in the gorgeous glass-encased bridge to serenade them with bells as they made their exit!
