Real Wedding | Claire & Kevin at Orlando Science Center!

A rainy Orlando day forced some late changes in Claire & Kevin's ceremony, but the final results were even better than they had hoped! Originally scheduled for the Mennello Museum's Sculpture Garden, the impending storm meant that both the ceremony and reception would happen at the Orlando Science Center! The weather cleared just long enough to allow the ceremony to happen outside on the third-floor terrace, which offers an amazing view of the Orlando skyline.

Terrace at Orlando Science Center proved the perfect setting for Claire & Kevin's ceremony!

Following the ceremony, the party moved into the Dinosaur Digs room of the Science Center. Guests enjoyed the reception surrounded by the towering historic beasts, and the skeletons even got in on the action by holding signs for the bride and groom.

Moral of the story for all couples, no matter when you are having your Florida wedding, you absolutely must have a rain plan! Natives know it can truly rain any day of the year, so just make it part of your process when choosing a venue to ask what their alternate ceremony/reception sites will be in the event of rain. If they don't have one, you might want to consider another venue, as you don't want to have to worry about the "what-if's" on your big day! This is especially true if you plan to incorporate your pets or other animals into your ceremony or cocktail hour!
